Shade Advisor

How do you find out if you a spring, Summer, Winter or Fall type?

What Season am I?

What shades look best on you, based on your skin tones & hair color.

Typical Spring
Natural hair color: Golden blond, blond, golden brown, strawberry blond or red
Skin tone: Ivory with golden tones, light olive with peach tones, naturally tanned or freckled
Eye color: Blue, clear blue, blue-gray, blue-green, clear green, topaz, brown, hazel or light green

Springs can wear warm colors like camel, peach, golden yellow and golden brown. Avoid dark, dull colors.

Typical Summer
Natural hair color: Light, medium or dark ash blond, light ash brown and some redheads
Skin tone: Pink with rose tones and ivory with pink tones (typically sunburn easily)
Eye color: Blue, violet, blue-green, gray-blue, gray-green, brown, hazel or gray

Summers should choose pastels and soft neutrals with rose and blue undertones. Lavender, plum, rose-brown and soft blue suit summers well while black and orange do not

Typical Autumn

Natural hair color: Golden brown, chestnut brown, red, orange-red or deep auburn
Skin tone: Gold or peach undertones
Eye color: Dark brown, green, dark green, pale brown with yellow tone, hazel or sometimes blue

Autumns should select colors with golden undertones, like camel, beige, orange, gold and dark brown. Avoid colors with blue tones, like navy.

Typical Winter
Natural hair color: Black, black-brown, chestnut, platinum blond or dark ash brown
Skin tone: Olive, pink or cream with blue undertones
Eye color: Black, blue, dark brown, gray-green, gray-blue, royal blue, charcoal, deep blue, hazel or green

Winters should wear colors that are sharp, stark and clear. White, black, navy blue, red and shocking pink all go well with winter complexions. For lighter colors, wear icy tones rather than pastels. Avoid subdued tones like beige, orange and gold.
