Minerals are the basic ingredient of many every day products Minerals are naturally occurring substances found in the earth, use for cosmetics. These Minerals are mined, purified, & crushed into fine powders. Mineral products don't require preservatives (it is not easily contaminated). Mineral colors are made of pure iron oxides. Many of these minerals have a special luster that, when applied to the skin, give the face a lovely glow, lending a healthy, youthful appearance to blemished or aged skin. Cosmetic companies use the same minerals to add color, texture and luster to everything. Cosmetics companies are designed to generate profit. Natural minerals cost much more than synthetic ones. Waterproof What are Mineral Cosmetics made from?
Mineraz makeup is made from minerals such as titanium dioxide, mica powder, serecite and iron oxides. Titanium dioxide is naturally anti inflammatory and a natural sunscreen. It is perfect for acne or rosacea prone skin, inflammatory skin conditions, and post-surgical or post- chemical peel skin as the natural minerals can help reduce irritation and redness
Mineral make-up is ideal for sensitive skin and is suitable for all skin types. Loose, dry minerals don't require preservatives, and all of those other irritating ingredients are completely unnecessary. These are the main reasons why loose mineral cosmetics are catching on in popularity. It is the most natural makeup available on the market. Are mineral cosmetics natural? No. All of the minerals and pigments we use in our formulations are carefully manufactured in laboratories to very specific standards set by the FDA. Pigments are one of the most highly regulated of all cosmetic chemicals. From among the pigments available, we choose only those that are free of dyes and carmine. Our iron oxides, ultramarine blue, and ferric ferrocyanide are carefully manufactured to meet standards of both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Union Cosmetics Directive (which is even stricter). Our titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are pure untreated pharmaceutical grade minerals. We have chosen the very purest and best ingredients available for our products. Micronized Titanium Dioxide - non-chemical sun block (SPF 20)
Iron Oxides - the source of color
Bismuth Oxychloride - anti-inflammatory properties
Zinc Oxide - anti-inflammatory properties (soothing to the ski) Do mineral cosmetics work for all skin types?
Yes. If you have sensitive skin, chemical sensitivities, or even Cosmetic Intolerance Syndrome, the gentle, soothing minerals in our cosmetics are likely to be beneficial. Free from potential irritants like bismuth oxychloride, talc, clay, dye, fragrances, and preservatives, there is little in our cosmetics that would bother even the most delicate complexion. In addition, the minerals form a protective barrier on the surface of the skin, rather than crossing the dermal barrier as some liquid cosmetics do. Mineral makeup works well for both oily and dry skin, allowing the skin to breathe while balancing and protecting all skin types. What about a sunscreen?
Titanium dioxide is the key. It is found naturally in minerals and does not clog pores or dry out the skin. It works quite remarkably. Basically, it allows light to pass through the visible ray region (light that is needed for healthy development of skin) while intercepting the ultraviolet rays. Titanium dioxide guards against the damaging effects of ultraviolet rays, yet gives the skin a natural looking finish. Research shows titanium dioxide provides a natural barrier to UVA and UVB radiation without irritation, burning or stinging. How do I choose a shade?

How often should I Wash My Brushes?
You should clean Brushes every 2 weeks. Clean your brushes by using a mild facial cleanser or baby shampoo. With soapy water in the palm of your hand, gently swirl the brushes around until it is clean. Rinse thoroughly under warm running water. Squeeze out any excess water. Fluff and reshape the brush. Place brush on a flat surface with bristles hanging over the edge to air dry.
How do I Preserve my makeup?
Because minerals are inorganic they are naturally antibacterial, so we can avoid potentially harmful and irritating preservatives in their manufacture. Rocks don’t ‘go bad’! Add organic matter, however, and the story changes. Bacteria reproduce happily in the presence of moisture. To protect your makeup and yourself, please keep your minerals dry and contaminant free. If they should become wet, toss them out. They are easy and inexpensive to replace, and your health is worth it.
While mineral makeup is sensitive to moisture, it is not sensitive to light. There’s no need to hide it away. Enjoy!
