Adi Gilon, President and Founder of “The Mineraz Collection”
Leading “The Mineraz Collection”, is President and Founder, Adi Gilon of Rockville, Maryland
Pert and blonde and seeming every part, a world class beauty executive, Adi is also a world class biotech engineer, trained in her native Israel. Thusly the science of molecular cosmetic composition is elementary, as the mineral elements contained in the Mineraz Collection of fine make-up products.
As a biotech engineer, Adi’s early focus was of development of new products and processes in the medical and agricultural biotech industry.
Biotechnology is a diverse, high-tech industry that uses natural organisms, for the benefit of mankind. A dynamic and diverse industry that relies on biological and chemical discoveries, also requiring research protocols, pilots and large-scale industrial processes.
Adi notes, "The role I have served in focuses on the ability of the individual to identify and understand clinical and market needs, and developing winning products as well as the ability to apply good laboratory experience".
Prior activities of Adi's biotech expertise have included: exceptional hands-on laboratory skills, method identification and analytical skills, plus the ability to identify and champion product design, development and manufacturing. Product development and management support activities include evaluation through full commercialization, business plans, pricing, forecasting, manufacturing, and market analysis. Adi has also worked with research scientists and engineers in the development of new methods of biotech processes.
Alumni of “Ort Braude college of Engineering”, Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree (B.Sc.); graduated in the year 2000, Adi's intensive training has also included team interactions with engineering, manufacturing, biological sciences, as well as clinical medicine, regulatory, legal, business, marketing and sales. A perfect formula for success.
Adi was always intrigued with the commercialization of cosmetic products, and pondered how her biotech background might improve quality and composition of make-up products...thusly creating The Mineraz Collection...based on the essence of pure mineral composition.
After exploring Israel's developing biotech industry, Adi's travels brought her to the U.S. because of her husband's work stateside, and creating the first Mineraz products.
